✔ Step One:

“Ask Yourself” Journal Exercise

To help you create a personalized plan of action, take some time to ask yourself WHY you are doing this, WHAT you are going to do, WHO can support you, WHERE you can get more help, WHEN you are going to start, and HOW you are going to do it.

Use the printable handout to help cue questions for the journal exercise. You can answer the questions by writing, filming or audio recording. Find the best format that works for you. Here are some journaling ideas:

  •     Print the handout and write your answers in a journal to use exclusively for your Nourish Program notes
  •     Share your answers with others on a personal blog or social media post for extra accountability
  •     Use an audio recorder to record answers verbally
  •     Record a video of you answering the questions and keep a health vlog of your progress
  •     Use these questions to have a conversation with your spouse, a family member or friend

Daily Planner & Take Action

Now that you have thought about your personalized action plan, it’s time to DO IT!

The beauty of the self-paced Nourish Programs is that you can go as fast or slow as you need. Whether it seems too basic or it’s a big challenge in your lifestyle, give it a try and stay consistent.

Use these two handouts to keep track of your daily, weekly or month-long goals. You can change your action steps each week or month as you progress, or keep them the same throughout the year. Start small. Consistency helps create massive results!

Print these two handouts, fill them out, and pin it somewhere in your home where you can see it every day (kitchen, bathroom vanity, bedroom, etc).

Bonus: Set a goal for each month and plan to give yourself a reward if you achieve it. For example, reward yourself with a professional massage, dinner at your favorite healthy restaurant, or a gift that brings joy into your life.

Assess Your Progress

Be sure to go back and do the self-assessment quiz and ask yourself: “Am I feeling better, the same or worse?” Try to pinpoint specific signs and symptoms that you started with.  Progress may not look like a straight line. You may feel stronger as a whole, feel better in one area but not another, or need to completely change gears. No matter what, it’s important to listen to your body and provide it with the support you need to accomplish your goals.
